Personality: Ryoji is upbeat and full of energy, sharing the protagonist's love of the world and its people, holding delight towards the little things in life and seesing beauty in everything around him. He largely lives in the present, seeking to enjoy life to its fullest and feeling the full range of human emotion very strongly and displaying them openly, because by focusing on the present, he has to power to find happiness and enjoyment in anything around him. The passage of time scares him because the future is uncertain, and he feels distressed when he's alone, when there's nothing to distract him from the thoughts running through his head, from the fear of change. In his sincerity and vulnerability, Ryoji is very self-sacrificial, quick to resign himself to fate and accept the inevitable, and would disregard his own life if it meant preserving the happiness of others. Although he does not realize it, due to being a Shadow, Ryoji does not fully understand certain aspects of humanity, including the weight of death, the value of memories, and the role of hardship in personal growth as a natural part of life.

> He can change between his human form and that of the Persona Thanatos, which is capable of both physical attacks (by sword) and magical attacks (almighty damage which cannot be blocked/reflected/absorbed/resisted, and instant kill light spells).
> He can also change to the form of the Nyx Avatar, which has numerous abilities (better organized in the wiki): light/medium/heavy elemental (fire, ice, wind, electricity) damage to one/all enemies; medium/heavy/severe physical (slash, pierce, strike, almighty) damage to one/all enemies; reduced elemental resistance; ailments (panic, charm, poison, fear); buffs (double/reflect physical/magic damage, increased critical rate/attack/defense/ailment susceptibility/hit/evasion); instant kill (light, darkness, fear); a barrier that reflects all attacks; and the ability to switch between different Arcana which have different strengths/weaknesses. His magic capacity is unlimited, and he has the health bar of thirteen bosses. The barrier is active in both his human and Nyx Avatar form.
