PLAYER PLOTS

Players are encouraged to submit their own player events, whether it is on a smaller or a larger scale. Due to the nature of the overarching events and plots of the game, however, it is recommended that larger plots run during the off-dungeon months. Smaller plots may run during both on-dungeon and off-dungeon months, pending mod approval and discussion.

Player plots may involve Shadow events. However, there are specific limitations and requirements for these events.

GAME-WIDE SHADOW EVENTS

Game-wide Shadow events are far more intensive player plots that function similarly to Persona 4's dungeons.

These events require a player creating a completely new dungeon for their event, whether it is an extension of a currently existing dungeon or it takes place within a completely new area. Within this new dungeon, players may either create their own generic Shadows or they may use any Shadows already existing in the game, asides from the bosses.

The player's character can either be whisked away into their own dungeons by a collective flood of Shadows that drag them along or they can find themselves suddenly awake in the deepest part of their dungeon without any recollection on how they arrived there. Their Shadow Self will then hold them captive until they are to be rescued. During this time, the other characters will then notice that, during the Lockdown period, a strong and powerful wind will flow towards the entrance of the newly created dungeon. Once the dungeon is completed by defeating or accepting the character's Shadow Self boss, this wind will disappear, though the dungeon will remain.

Due to the nature of these these game-wide Shadow events, they may only run during off-dungeon months and only two are allowed per month. They must run either during the first two weeks or the last two weeks of the month and players must sign up for them in advance.

PERSONAL SHADOW EVENTS

Personal Shadow events are more private and contained than game-wide Shadow events, mirroring Persona 1/2 or Persona 4's encounter with Chie and Yosuke's Shadows.

Rather than the player creating a new dungeon, these events are restrained within a currently existing one. However, players may choose to warp portions of it to reflect their character's Shadow. For examples, a particularly bright area of the dungeon is now dim and dark, a new floor or area has been added, or the generic Shadows have now changed to resemble aspects of the character, their Persona, or their Shadow.

The player's character will either randomly encounter their Shadow Self while they are already in a dungeon or, during the Lockdown, they will hear a faint voice that urges them to come into the dungeon, either generically persuading them to venture in or specifically compelling them about a particular matter. This voice will eventually be revealed to be their Shadow and it will not disappear until the Shadow is defeated or accepted.

Personal Shadow events may run during both on-dungeon months and off-dungeon months. However, they are limited to two per month and they must run either during the first two weeks or the last two weeks of the month. In addition, players must sign up for them in advance.

SIGN-UP FORM

If you would like to host a player event, please use the form below. After reviewing your submission, the mod team will contact you by replying to your comment. Some events, especially game-wide Shadow events, may require back-and-forth discussion. If there are any questions or concerns, players may contact the mod team via a PM.

PLAYER INFO

    Name: Olivia
    Character: Red

EVENT INFO

    Type: Game-wide Shadow Event
Date: First half of February preferred, but I can do the second half too!
    Details:
    - The dungeon will replace the mountains during Lockdown and is based off of Mt. Silver, while also borrowing a lot of elements from the Battle Tree in Alola.
    - This dungeon is a whopping 50 floors high and is entirely battle-oriented; characters must fight their way to the top floor, the peak of the mountain where Shadow Red awaits. Characters must defeat all enemies (which all resemble Pokémon) on each floor in order to progress to the next one. The difficulty is pretty easy at first, but gets progressively harder and harder. At some point, even Terry and Kido will have a Really Bad Time if they try to solo run it.
    - The first boss on the 20th floor, a Shadow version of Green, will warn characters of the difficulty spike from here after his Shadow Pokémon are defeated. As a first-time reward for clearing his floor, each character will receive 20 Ultra Balls, which can be used to capture any non-boss Shadows in the dungeon to help characters out with the remaining floors. They will not work on Shadows in other dungeons, nor can captured Shadows be brought outside of Red's dungeon — they must be picked up from the PC in Pokémon Center at the dungeon entrance for each visit.
    - If a character captures a Shadow that is stronger than them, the Shadow will refuse to take orders from them and may even attack them. They'll have to reason with it somehow if they want it to be of any help. How this is accomplished will be left up to the player's discretion.
    - Naturally, it will not be possible to clear the entire dungeon in one night, however characters can return to the floor they left off on as long as they/their party hasn't been defeated in battle. If their party is wiped at any time, then they must start over either from the 1st floor or the 21st if they've already defeated Green.
    - The remaining boss fights are on the 30th, 40th and 50th floors. Once they reach Shadow Red on the top floor, he will refuse to speak to them until they defeat his Shadow Pokémon (Pikachu, Espeon, Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, Snorlax) in a series of nonstop one-on-one battles, meaning only one character or Shadow Pokémon can fight at a time and can't receive any outside items/healing from teammates. Their stats are absolutely insane and come with their Mega Evolutions and at least one Z-Move each as well, so good luck......
    - Upon winning this long and hard series of battles, characters will earn the right to return to the top floor at any time and can finally converse with Shadow Red. The real Red and his Pokémon are probably being held captive behind an extremely thick, snow-covered ice wall that only Shadow Red can pass through freely.

if y'all need to know anything else, feel free to hit me up on plurk or at discord (goro majechi#1765)!! /o/
