HIATUS AND DROPS

→ HIATUS

A hiatus that lasts less than two weeks will require players to still submit activity for that month. A hiatus that lasts two weeks or longer will exempt the player from submitting activity. However, players will still need to post a comment under their top-level on the Permanent AC page to prevent from being swept from the game. For a hiatus that will last for longer than four weeks, players must first speak to the mods. In addition, players cannot take a hiatus two months in a row or take a hiatus after they've received a strike.

For characters that go on hiatus, they can either go on auto-pilot or experience a brief ego death. Should players choose the latter, characters will fall into a vegetative state and be unresponsive for the duration of the hiatus. After the hiatus has ended, characters will return back to normal and will not realize what has happened while they were "gone". In addition, players will need to specify which route they will take for their character.

For characters who are dropped, they have the choice of experiencing an ego death, or become permanently dead. If fallen into ego death, unless they are reapped by the original player or a new player, they will permanently be in this state. If ego death characters are reapped with a new player, their previous memories and Persona will be wiped; permadeath characters may not be reapped by either the original player or a new player.
