The Velvet Room exists between the consciousness and subconsciousness. It is inaccessible by characters who do not wield a Persona or have lost their Persona for various different reasons. In fact, its entire existence is limited only to Persona users and to the regular individual, they will not be able to even see the entrance to the room. Although it is stationed primarily in the castle, the entrance of the Velvet Room may also be found in various different locations, such as by the dungeons and the shrine. Sometimes, there may be a "malfunction" and an ordinary door will actually lead into the Velvet Room. Why does that happen? Well... perhaps characters will have to ask the attendants for that answer.

Within the room, two attendants occupy the space. These attendants act as guides and will perform various different duties in order to assist the characters. They will pass on plot information, answer questions, give out requests (with the promise of a reward, of course), forge magic-infused weapons, heal, and such on. Requests, in particular, are given out ICly and OOCly monthly and may be undertaken by any character who wishes to complete them. Please see the first toplevel of this entry for more information.

The attendants may be regularly contacted by entering the Velvet Room and, as a result, players may comment to this entry to interact with either attendant. Players may specify which attendant that they'd like to interact with or allow the mods to choose. These threads may be used towards AC and bonus activity. However, due to the attention-intensive nature of NPC threads, these threads may be quickly wrapped up in order to save time for the mods.

🢒🢒 minato The attendant you might have to wake up, pretending to be asleep so you have to bother Souji instead of him. His requests tend towards what he wants to do or eat at the moment, but he seems to enjoy seeing the world, though he isn't always good company. Seriously. Go bother Souji instead.

🢒🢒 souji The more talkative attendant between the two, though he could say some pretty bizarre things. He also seems overly fond of cats for some reason and will unironically go "nya". His requests normally seem to involve taking him out somewhere or bringing him particularly... strange objects.

[ Fifty cats... The Velvet Room sure is going to be absolutely packed now. Souji was actually in the middle of moving his current cats into a corner so he could properly clean but looks like that plan is thrown out into the window. ]

45 makes herself at home, because it kinda is her home (base), sitting down in the lounge after getting a cat off the seat by moving it. ]

[ Souji comes back after a minute, bringing the mini medkit. It has all your usual first aid supplies, but with a little present for 45 since she did bring in 50 cats instead of 20... they are three paper talismans, but they're written on the back of old shopping lists... ]

Any reason why all these cats started to follow you around?

[ The shopping habits show that Souji likes to buy base ingredients so he can make his own food. He never buys takeout unless Minato wants it. ]

Yeah, I've figured that it should come in handy. There are a lot of Shadows that use magic.

We had three world wars, an equivalent to a zombie outbreak, military are fielding androids because it's cheaper and humans are scarce.

No. Androids, or T-Dolls, are usually not allowed to harm humans, whether they've been zombified or not.
