The Velvet Room exists between the consciousness and subconsciousness. It is inaccessible by characters who do not wield a Persona or have lost their Persona for various different reasons. In fact, its entire existence is limited only to Persona users and to the regular individual, they will not be able to even see the entrance to the room. Although it is stationed primarily in the castle, the entrance of the Velvet Room may also be found in various different locations, such as by the dungeons and the shrine. Sometimes, there may be a "malfunction" and an ordinary door will actually lead into the Velvet Room. Why does that happen? Well... perhaps characters will have to ask the attendants for that answer.
Within the room, two attendants occupy the space. These attendants act as guides and will perform various different duties in order to assist the characters. They will pass on plot information, answer questions, give out requests (with the promise of a reward, of course), forge magic-infused weapons, heal, and such on. Requests, in particular, are given out ICly and OOCly monthly and may be undertaken by any character who wishes to complete them. Please see the first toplevel of this entry for more information.
The attendants may be regularly contacted by entering the Velvet Room and, as a result, players may comment to this entry to interact with either attendant. Players may specify which attendant that they'd like to interact with or allow the mods to choose. These threads may be used towards AC and bonus activity. However, due to the attention-intensive nature of NPC threads, these threads may be quickly wrapped up in order to save time for the mods.
→ VELVET ROOM ATTENDANTS
The attendant you might have to wake up, pretending to be asleep so you have to bother Souji instead of him. His requests tend towards what he wants to do or eat at the moment, but he seems to enjoy seeing the world, though he isn't always good company. Seriously. Go bother Souji instead.
The more talkative attendant between the two, though he could say some pretty bizarre things. He also seems overly fond of cats for some reason and will unironically go "nya". His requests normally seem to involve taking him out somewhere or bringing him particularly... strange objects.

Souji - 2/8
[It's rather relevant to her interests, after all.]

Mm, a bit.
[ He closes the book and motions his hand towards the couch in front of him. Don't be like Sasuke and not accept a seat. ]
As you become more attuned to yourself, the need to use a tool for summoning decreases. Of course, that is easier said than done. You'd have to learn how to accept yourself, both the good and bad, and really look deep down at yourself and come to terms with everything that make you the person you currently are.

I already know everything that I am, Souji.
[She's had to come to terms with it long before now.]

[ It's not like he doesn't believe her, but it's important to check. ]

[She places a hand over her chest.]
I'm someone who was born to destroy humanity. Of course I still have my fears and doubts. But I know this about myself, and I know that I have to keep fighting to ensure that my fate never leads me down that path.

[ He nods. ]
Then I think you might be able to summon Zashiki Warashi without the use of a medium. Let's step outside and I'll try to walk you through the process.
no subject
Roger that.
[Let's do this?!]

Personas will always be a part of you, regardless if you've lost your omamori or whatever other medium you've once used to summon them. Do you still hear yours? How she may be feeling or thinking?
no subject
Mm... I don't think so...?
[She hasn't heard anything from her Persona since that fateful day.]
How do I listen for her?
