The Velvet Room exists between the consciousness and subconsciousness. It is inaccessible by characters who do not wield a Persona or have lost their Persona for various different reasons. In fact, its entire existence is limited only to Persona users and to the regular individual, they will not be able to even see the entrance to the room. Although it is stationed primarily in the castle, the entrance of the Velvet Room may also be found in various different locations, such as by the dungeons and the shrine. Sometimes, there may be a "malfunction" and an ordinary door will actually lead into the Velvet Room. Why does that happen? Well... perhaps characters will have to ask the attendants for that answer.
Within the room, two attendants occupy the space. These attendants act as guides and will perform various different duties in order to assist the characters. They will pass on plot information, answer questions, give out requests (with the promise of a reward, of course), forge magic-infused weapons, heal, and such on. Requests, in particular, are given out ICly and OOCly monthly and may be undertaken by any character who wishes to complete them. Please see the first toplevel of this entry for more information.
The attendants may be regularly contacted by entering the Velvet Room and, as a result, players may comment to this entry to interact with either attendant. Players may specify which attendant that they'd like to interact with or allow the mods to choose. These threads may be used towards AC and bonus activity. However, due to the attention-intensive nature of NPC threads, these threads may be quickly wrapped up in order to save time for the mods.
→ VELVET ROOM ATTENDANTS
The attendant you might have to wake up, pretending to be asleep so you have to bother Souji instead of him. His requests tend towards what he wants to do or eat at the moment, but he seems to enjoy seeing the world, though he isn't always good company. Seriously. Go bother Souji instead.
The more talkative attendant between the two, though he could say some pretty bizarre things. He also seems overly fond of cats for some reason and will unironically go "nya". His requests normally seem to involve taking him out somewhere or bringing him particularly... strange objects.

So he's quick to get to RO's room, although he takes one look at the situation and has to fight the urge to slam the door in her face to contain the damage to that room only. He'll just... summon Nekogami, the ghost cat shooting dream needles at the boar and tranquilizing it immediately. ]

[ Dismissing Nekogami, Minato summons Neku's Koumokuten in its place so the Persona can pick up the boar like it's nothing but a bag of sugar, and haul it off to Terry's room and lock the door. Unless Minato forgets, it's just temporary storage, because the boar will eventually wake up and he'd like to quarantine it somewhere apart from the rest of the train until he's ready to cook. ]
Did Astraea get any faster after all that chasing around boars and Shadows?

[ She'd been using a stopwatch and everything on her newly acquired phone to test that too. ]
But she did learn how to make pink drops over people's heads. I am not quite sure what that does.

New skills are always handy to have too. Better than speed, really... Try using that one on somebody who isn't in control of themselves next time, and see if it helps.

[ Hm. She pulls out the roughed up hand that's been severed from her with bits of mechanical wiring and such poking out of the hole. The boar pretty much took a bite out of her hand, chewed on it, and spat it back out because that's not edible. ]

If you could give me an idea of what needs to be done, I'll give it a try. Otherwise, Mondo works with bikes and might have more practical knowledge with this sort of thing.

Not for anything specific... Souji and I were hoping more people would come back with Onmoraki scrolls and feather samples so we could look into those Shadows and stuff more, but that's nothing urgent.
