The Velvet Room exists between the consciousness and subconsciousness. It is inaccessible by characters who do not wield a Persona or have lost their Persona for various different reasons. In fact, its entire existence is limited only to Persona users and to the regular individual, they will not be able to even see the entrance to the room. Although it is stationed primarily in the castle, the entrance of the Velvet Room may also be found in various different locations, such as by the dungeons and the shrine. Sometimes, there may be a "malfunction" and an ordinary door will actually lead into the Velvet Room. Why does that happen? Well... perhaps characters will have to ask the attendants for that answer.
Within the room, two attendants occupy the space. These attendants act as guides and will perform various different duties in order to assist the characters. They will pass on plot information, answer questions, give out requests (with the promise of a reward, of course), forge magic-infused weapons, heal, and such on. Requests, in particular, are given out ICly and OOCly monthly and may be undertaken by any character who wishes to complete them. Please see the first toplevel of this entry for more information.
The attendants may be regularly contacted by entering the Velvet Room and, as a result, players may comment to this entry to interact with either attendant. Players may specify which attendant that they'd like to interact with or allow the mods to choose. These threads may be used towards AC and bonus activity. However, due to the attention-intensive nature of NPC threads, these threads may be quickly wrapped up in order to save time for the mods.

The attendant you might have to wake up, pretending to be asleep so you have to bother Souji instead of him. His requests tend towards what he wants to do or eat at the moment, but he seems to enjoy seeing the world, though he isn't always good company. Seriously. Go bother Souji instead.
The more talkative attendant between the two, though he could say some pretty bizarre things. He also seems overly fond of cats for some reason and will unironically go "nya". His requests normally seem to involve taking him out somewhere or bringing him particularly... strange objects.

If Vassago hadn't caught Minato, he would have summoned another Persona to help break the fall, so the fact that Terry looked out for him like that makes him kind of... happy but worried at the same time. He slides out of Vassago's hold and finds his feet, gravity feeling like it's making up for lost time by going into overdrive; ever inch of his body feels so heavy, pressure on all sides that didn't exist up there in the air where he was nothing. ]
Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, Vassago.

Does it really look that way...? I wouldn't think so, and I'm even thinking of all those scenarios of where best friends bicker, but they're still close. I don't think it's anything like that with us...

[ Vassago doesn't try to bite Terry's face off every opportunity he can get. That counts as getting along, as far as Minato's concerned, but his standards for friends are also rock bottom. ]

[ What Minato's getting is that Terry doesn't think, or at least he hasn't thought very hard about it, not that Minato expects anybody to really care. Persona's a power, it comes out when you need them and goes away when you don't, it's simple. ]
There were times where you couldn't feel him at all, right? But he still came back to you, in the end. Where do you think he goes when he's not with you?

Minato realizes that he should just tell Terry the answer instead of trying to guide him, because it's futile when there's no framework for all of this. But instead, he just stares at Terry for a moment or two, and then looks away. ]
Never mind... It's not important. If you don't die, it doesn't matter what happens. If you do die, it won't matter to you either.
[ That's the great thing about death: either way, the answer to what happens after death does not apply to those who are alive, and does not matter to those who are dead. ]
