The Velvet Room exists between the consciousness and subconsciousness. It is inaccessible by characters who do not wield a Persona or have lost their Persona for various different reasons. In fact, its entire existence is limited only to Persona users and to the regular individual, they will not be able to even see the entrance to the room. Although it is stationed primarily in the castle, the entrance of the Velvet Room may also be found in various different locations, such as by the dungeons and the shrine. Sometimes, there may be a "malfunction" and an ordinary door will actually lead into the Velvet Room. Why does that happen? Well... perhaps characters will have to ask the attendants for that answer.
Within the room, two attendants occupy the space. These attendants act as guides and will perform various different duties in order to assist the characters. They will pass on plot information, answer questions, give out requests (with the promise of a reward, of course), forge magic-infused weapons, heal, and such on. Requests, in particular, are given out ICly and OOCly monthly and may be undertaken by any character who wishes to complete them. Please see the first toplevel of this entry for more information.
The attendants may be regularly contacted by entering the Velvet Room and, as a result, players may comment to this entry to interact with either attendant. Players may specify which attendant that they'd like to interact with or allow the mods to choose. These threads may be used towards AC and bonus activity. However, due to the attention-intensive nature of NPC threads, these threads may be quickly wrapped up in order to save time for the mods.
→ VELVET ROOM ATTENDANTS
The attendant you might have to wake up, pretending to be asleep so you have to bother Souji instead of him. His requests tend towards what he wants to do or eat at the moment, but he seems to enjoy seeing the world, though he isn't always good company. Seriously. Go bother Souji instead.
The more talkative attendant between the two, though he could say some pretty bizarre things. He also seems overly fond of cats for some reason and will unironically go "nya". His requests normally seem to involve taking him out somewhere or bringing him particularly... strange objects.

Hm... I dunno. I was prepared to eat the entire bear in one sitting if you cooked all of it.
no subject
Wow. That's a big appetite. Terry is surprised and yet he feels like he shouldn't be. ]
Is that why you wanted to order one of everything?
no subject
[ It was just less words. But he can absolutely eat one of everything. ]
no subject
Man, that's... one way to be lazy.
no subject
[ But is half of everything enough? He doesn't want Terry to go home hungry, either. ]
no subject
[ There's a lot of burgers. He'd be fine. Most likely. ]
no subject
...Wake me up when the food gets here?
[ He's going to just take a nap here. When I say he's not good company this is what I mean. ]

[ When Minato closes his eyes, Terry gets out a small scalp massager from his pocket. The effects were pretty hilarious on the cats, and he wonders what would happen if he used it on Minato.
...
He reaches over with the massager and uses it on Minato's head. ]

Terry looks down at where Minato fell off and... the floor is kinda dirty. Terry gets up from his seat to carry Minato back on the bench with his head on the table. Then he proceeds to use the scalp massager again while standing next to him. ]
no subject
Airi's Cait Sith appears on the table and points its sword at Terry's neck. Please stop that. ]

Giant trays full of burgers and everything else finally arrives after some time later (it was well over 30 minutes, but Terry could wait while Minato slept). He taps Minato's head. ]
Hey, wake up. The food is here and we can't fit tray on the table with your head on it.
no subject
Oh...
[ He sits up properly, and then sinks back into a comfortable slouch as he does one of those wide prolonged cat yawns.
Claps his hands together ]
Let's eat.
no subject
Thanks for the food!
[ He picks up the mystery burger because he's been most excited for that one and bites into it without even looking into what it is. It takes one second for Supreme Regret to start kicking in, because he can smell the spiciness radiating from the burger he just bit into and promptly suffers from level 5. The burger that he bit into is similar to a spicy mexican burger and he can't spit it out. He swallows the amount that he bit off and he feels like there's steam coming off the top of his head. This is why idiots shouldn't be courageous. ]
W-Water...

Terry finds the slaps uncomfortable because if he was choking, it wouldn't do anything. And if it's to relieve some pain, he feels like he can't eat well because of someone repeatedly hitting his back. Aaaaaaaaaa
He grabs the milkshake and drinks a bit of it, but not too much and resumes eating the mystery burger like a fool, but only because he doesn't want to waste food. He feels like he can breathe fire at this point. ]
no subject
But Terry doesn't look like he's choking anymore, so Minato mentally gives himself a pat on the back for helping out, and goes back to eating his burger. He's not a very fast eater, by any means, but he's a steady one, devouring one burger after another with almost no change in expression, unlike when he'd eaten Terry's cooking. ]
no subject
But he doesn't have the luxury for that right now. He finishes the mystery burger and breathes out and coughs a bit while covering his mouth. He takes a five second break before biting into another burger.
One of everything also means that spicy burger was there.
Death x2 for Terry. ]
no subject
Joke's on Terry, because remember that despairing and hateful look Minato got from the employee? The fact that they had to wait for their entire order all at once instead of receiving things bit by bit as they're cooked?
Everything is spicy. The burgers, the fries, even the smoothies. Die, Terry. ]
no subject
Terry keeps eating the burger quietly. It feels like the steam continues to blow out from his head like a tea kettle when it's done boiling water. He drinks the smoothie instead of the milkshake and WHAT THE FUCK AAAAAAAAA ]
What the hell--why is this spicy too?!
no subject
...Aftertaste from the burger?
[ Minato polishes off his third burger and steadily works on the fourth. ]
These are good...
no subject
... I thought you said it gets old fast.
no subject
[ He doesn't speak until the end of his fourth burger, in between unwrapping the fifth. ]
Things can be old but still enjoyable. Like Souji.
[ ...He probably means, like. familiar, or used to, or something. ]
no subject
How old are you guys anyway... You don't look much younger than me, but you've been around for a while, huh.
no subject
[ ... ]
For the record, Souji is 31,567.
[ Minato's the older one, yeah. Someday he'll give Terry serious answers. ]
