The Velvet Room exists between the consciousness and subconsciousness. It is inaccessible by characters who do not wield a Persona or have lost their Persona for various different reasons. In fact, its entire existence is limited only to Persona users and to the regular individual, they will not be able to even see the entrance to the room. Although it is stationed primarily in the castle, the entrance of the Velvet Room may also be found in various different locations, such as by the dungeons and the shrine. Sometimes, there may be a "malfunction" and an ordinary door will actually lead into the Velvet Room. Why does that happen? Well... perhaps characters will have to ask the attendants for that answer.

Within the room, two attendants occupy the space. These attendants act as guides and will perform various different duties in order to assist the characters. They will pass on plot information, answer questions, give out requests (with the promise of a reward, of course), forge magic-infused weapons, heal, and such on. Requests, in particular, are given out ICly and OOCly monthly and may be undertaken by any character who wishes to complete them. Please see the first toplevel of this entry for more information.

The attendants may be regularly contacted by entering the Velvet Room and, as a result, players may comment to this entry to interact with either attendant. Players may specify which attendant that they'd like to interact with or allow the mods to choose. These threads may be used towards AC and bonus activity. However, due to the attention-intensive nature of NPC threads, these threads may be quickly wrapped up in order to save time for the mods.

🢒🢒 minato The attendant you might have to wake up, pretending to be asleep so you have to bother Souji instead of him. His requests tend towards what he wants to do or eat at the moment, but he seems to enjoy seeing the world, though he isn't always good company. Seriously. Go bother Souji instead.

🢒🢒 souji The more talkative attendant between the two, though he could say some pretty bizarre things. He also seems overly fond of cats for some reason and will unironically go "nya". His requests normally seem to involve taking him out somewhere or bringing him particularly... strange objects.

[ Up to this point of time, Terry had all the... weirder memories. This sucks. Even after Minato told him that he gets them simultaneously, Souji probably does too. THIS IS EMBARRASSING, but he's going to fulfill his request.

How does one keep their face straight after having frottage and deep kissing them in another person's memory..... ]

Souji, are you here? I'm here to do the request...

[ He checks the kitchen first. ]

[ souji is indeed in the kitchen, but not in the state that terry would have wanted. on a cleaning strike, souji is carefully rationing his clothes by choosing which days to wear something and which days not to. he doesn't know how long this strike will last so he needs to be vigilant on saving his clothes. today, he decides that he can just go around in his briefs and his apron. he's going to be in the kitchen all day so it's not like he really needs to wear his uniform if he's just cooking. ]

[ souji turns his head slightly when he hears terry. ]

Hi, Terrence. Take a counter and I'll hear you out in a moment.

[ he's just chopping up some veggies right now. ]

[ The first thing that Terry thinks is that they definitely had sex and this was the morning after where Souji cooks stuff for them both and now he definitely can't get that memory out of his mind. He feels like he's dying so he closes the door and covers his face.

Calm down, Terry. Calm. Calm... ]

[ He opens the door again. Maybe hallucinated it, but no. Souji is still dressed like that. ]

Put some clothes on!!

[ That's not calm. ]

[ when terry closes the door, souji just looks back down at the green onions that he's chopping up. he's planning on making tamagoyaki so this shouldn't take too long. once the door reopens, souji glances back up then down at himself before back at terry. ]

But I am wearing clothes.

[ he has his underwear on and an apron. those count as clothes. ]

More clothes! Wear your uniform!

But I'm just cooking. I don't need my uniform for that.

[ no. ]

[ Maybe it's just Souji, but Minato has also teased him about stuff like this too. ]

Please save your morning after "breakfasts" with Minato. I don't want any part of it.

[ Go have sex where he can't see you, Souji. ]

Are you sure? You can join if you want.

[ he means literal breakfast. that's what he's making right now. don't have any other dirty thoughts, terry. ]

[ People thought Terry was a pure cinnamon roll at the start of the game. I'm glad he's had plenty of opportunities to show that he isn't. By that, I mean that Terry is absolutely thinking of something dirty and he needs to change the subject really quickly before the conversation takes an even more dangerous turn. ]

... No, thanks. I came to do your request and I have a question or two to ask you after that. Just let me know when I can do them...

[ get your head out of the gutters, terry. what would kido say if she knew what you were thinking... ]

You can do them right now. It won't take me long to be done with Minato so you can follow me to the lounge.

[overstrain]

[ She'd punch him, which is the exact reason why he didn't tell her about your frottage memory, Souji. Terry tries to calm himself down again. ]

... I thought you'd be sitting me down and stuff. Minato tried to be like a therapist when I did his request.

[ bring up the frottage memory in front of souji and he'll punch terry as well. ]

We can do that too. I just don't know how much time you have and if you want to see me in my apron for any longer.

[overstrain]

... I can wait until you change.

[ He doesn't have all day but time passes by slowly here. It's fine. ]

I'm on a cleaning strike, so I have to be careful about what clothes I wear. Since you already saw me half-naked, I'm just going to stay like this or take off the apron only.

[ why are you no fun, terry. ]

[overstrain]

If I give you my clothes, will you wear it?

[ Also I just realized that Terry's breakdown is completely related to the Attendants' requests this month... that's sad. Anyway, Terry will leave the Velvet Room, go all the way back home, pick out a set of clothes, and comes back into the portal. Hopefully he's done with breakfast or whatever he was gonna do. ]

Souji, I'm back...

[ sorry, terry... this is all the attendant's faults... and yeah, souji's done with breakfast by the time terry comes back. he's now just sitting on a couch in his briefs, petting cream-san, since he hung up his apron. he looks up. ]

Welcome back.

[ he looks at the clothes that terry has brought. ]

Nice set of clothes. You'd be okay with lending them to me?

[overstrain]

Yeah, I don't mind. I think you did this for me too, once.

[ it's a vague memory that he doesn't remember, but Souji did lend him clothes on their first meeting... it's fine. ]

Alright. What was yours again? Hopes and dreams?

[ souji will take the clothes and just get dressed in front of terry. this is better than the opposite. ]

Yeah, one hope and one dream. I'd also like them to be serious answers.

[overstrain]

Did he hear his answers from Minato's questions and decided they weren't serious, or does Souji just think Terry wouldn't give serious answers without that warning... Terry is curious, but doesn't push it. ]

Does it have to be current? Because... I always hoped to come back to Hirajiro when I went back to my world. It was a long, long time... and I'm glad I finally got to be here.

My dream is...

[ He wonders if it's the same thing as a wish. ]

... to live happily with the people I love.

[ it's the latter, but it's not mostly directed at terry. he means it in general. he wants everyone to really think about what kind of hopes and dreams they have, rather than spontaneous and materialistic ones like "i want a new phone!" or whatnot. ]

That's a good dream. I'd imagine that you're working hard to make that come true.
